Australian Doctors Orchestra performs in Toowoomba

The Australian Doctors Orchestra, led by conductor Peter Luff, will make its Toowoomba debut after touring cities across Australia.

The Australian Doctor’s Orchestra (ADO), established over 30 years ago, is a national orchestra of medical professionals who are also classically trained musicians. The ADO has performed in capital and regional cities across Australia, and will for the very first time perform in Toowoomba under the baton of conductor Peter Luff!

This musical journey begins with Verdi’s powerful Overture La Forza del Destino. This will be followed by Mendelssohn’s beautiful Violin Concerto performed by internationally acclaimed violinist Ike See. After the interval, ADO will perform Grieg’s famous Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, including the famous Morning Mood and In the Hall of the Mountain King. The concert will conclude with Stravinsky’s evocative Firebird Suite (1919 version).

ADO is proud to be partnering with RACQ LifeFlight Rescue, and all funds raised from ticket sales will go to LifeFlight Foundation to ensure Queensland regional and rural communities continue to get the best aeromedical care.

The performance will be held at 2.30pm on Sunday 16 June.
