Veterans’ Mates: Pausing to review the medicine regimen

The Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans’ MATES program team have released the latest topic in the Veterans’ MATES program, Pausing to review the medicine regimen. This topic highlights steps to reduce a complex medicine regimen and how a Home Medicines Review (HMR) can help.

Copies of the therapeutic brief and veteran brochure, along with other topic related materials, were mailed in November to GPs who treat relevant veterans. The veteran brochure, Pausing to review your medicine routine, will be mailed in January 2017 to veteran patients who have been dispensed multiple different medicines in the four month period 1 May to 31 August 2016.
