EpiPen shortage officially over: TGA

AMA members are advised that as of January 23, the shortage of EpiPen 300 mcg adrenaline auto-injectors has been resolved. The shortage was first reported by the Therapeutics Good Administration (TGA) in April 2018.

Federal laws were introduced at the start of 2019 in response to the EpiPen supply issues. The laws require pharmaceutical companies to immediately report all critical medicine shortages to authorities. Penalties for failing to comply include fines of up to $210,000.
