Donors help COMA get on the move
Following our successful seminar in March this year, much public interest has been generated about COMA Tasmania. We are receiving requests for groups to see the collection, and other museums and organisations have reached out to us for potential partnerships. It is lovely to view the profile of COMA being enlivened and developing its reputation as a unique and fascinating place to visit.
We are laying the foundations with proper planning and processes to ensure COMA’s long-term survival. Liz and I meet all day every Monday to develop the procedures to present and manage the collection.
Now it’s time for us to make the collection more accessible through exhibitions, programs and our online database. We want to celebrate the scientific basis of healthcare in Tasmania, with innovative, stimulating and engaging programs.
Liz and I have been applying for grants, but there is a long lead up time to the assessment and announcement of successful applicants. Your donation now can make a real difference.
When you support us with a donation, you will enable us to continue to pay for our curator’s professional services until our grant funding becomes available. We appreciate your donation, big or small. Any gift over $2.00 is tax deductible. Jane Franklin Hall will transfer the full amount of your contribution to the COMA bank account. Thank you for your generosity. We look forward to your visit, to see the fruits of your donation firsthand.
