Discussion Paper: Secretary, Department of Health - Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) and Sexually Transmissible Infections (STI) Prevention Programme

In December 2015, the Department of Health wrote to the AMA seeking comment on the Department’s Discussion Paper for the Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) and Sexually Transmissible Infections (STI) Prevention Programme.

The Department invited stakeholders “to provide comment to further develop activities identified by the Department, or to submit activity proposals for innovative ideas to assist with the design of future activities.”

The AMA submission highlight issues with BBVs beyond the Department's designated activities, and requested that our general submission be considered in the Department’s planning and consideration for preventing blood borne viruses in Australia.
