AMA submission on TGA consultation on proposed regulation of Schedule 8 opioids

The AMA supports safe and effective prescribing of opioids. Opioids are high risk medicines and additional regulatory measures are necessary in the interests of patient safety.However, regulation should not pose barriers to appropriate prescribing.
