AMA submission to Senate Inquiry on access to diagnostic imaging equipment

Investment in high quality diagnostic imaging services that reflect best clinical practice ultimately saves tax payers from much higher downstream costs in the acute care sector, and can greatly improve patients’ experiences and outcomes​. The AMA considers that  government policies, regulations and funding arrangements for diagnostic imaging services should​ therefore support patient affordability and access.​
