GPs needed for pop-up COVID vaccine clinics

Calling GP volunteers for pop-up COVID vaccine clinics for people who are homeless

AMA Queensland is delighted to support The VacSeen Project, a local charitable organisation that runs GP-led pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics for people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage around South East Queensland.

Recently, the VacSeen Project has delivered more than 300 COVID-19 vaccines and they are keen to keep responding to this community need.

The next step is to expand their clinics around Queensland in collaboration with Orange Sky.

But they need your help!

Calling all GPs in Brisbane, Mackay, Cairns and the Sunshine Coast to volunteer and help at the following pop-up clinic locations. The dates and times are flexible depending on the availability of GPs.

  • Caboolture Community Action Group (Saturday: 4:00 - 6:00PM)
  • Ivory St, Fortitude Valley (Saturday: 4:00 - 6:00PM)
  • Kings Kitchen, Redcliffe (Monday: 4:00 - 6:00PM)
  • Musgrave Park, West End (Sunday: 4:00 - 6:00PM)
  • OS Wembley Plaza, Logan (Friday: 7:00 - 9:00PM)
  • Rosies Wynnum, Wynnum (Friday: 7:00 - 9:00PM)
     
• Sunshine Coast
  • Jetts Community Space, Mooloolaba (Saturday: 9:00AM - 12:00PM)
     
• Mackay
  • Sarina Neighbourhood Center, Mackay (Monday/Thursday: 9:00AM - 11:00AM)
     
• Cairns
  • Cairns Villa’s and Leisure Park, Cairns (Saturday: 8:30AM - 11:30AM)

GPs can bill vaccinations through Medicare and volunteers can expect to help for approximately two hours/fortnight.
