Committee of Consultant Specialists

AMA Queensland has established a Committee of Consultant Specialists (CCS) to formulate policy and drive medico-political change through the provision of advice to the AMA Queensland Council and report on emerging issues in the area of consultant specialists.

There are currently three Specialist Representatives on AMA Queensland Council and another nine Consultant Specialist Councillors who hold area or other representative roles, but this committee would run similarly to the Committee of General Practice (CGP) where issues are specifically discussed in this committee before reaching Council. 

ENT Surgeon Dr Sharon Kelly will chair the new committee, and the CCS will consist of:
