National Doctors' Day
How do you plan to celebrate National Doctors' Day?
National Doctors' Day is a day celebrated to recognise the contributions of physicians to individual lives and communities.
The date varies from nation to nation depending on the event of commemoration used to mark the day. Australia's National Doctor Day is marked for 30 March, which in 2024 is a Saturday, so many are choosing to mark the day on Wednesday 27 March instead.
It is a great day to come together and celebrate medicine and your role as a doctor. We encourage you to gather together in your hospital or practice, or with colleagues, and celebrate the day.
Dr Felicity Jensen is encouraging Queensland doctors to recognise the day and make plans to celebrate.
"I think it is important to recognise the work of the medical profession," Dr Jensen said.
