Medical Careers Expo wrap up

More than 400 delegates registered for the Expo, a one-stop shop for career opportunities and advice, with speakers and exhibitors from a selection of medical colleges, hospitals and private operators delivering information about career pathways, and live Q&A sessions with expert panels.

"The Expo is for all doctors and medical students, whether they have decided on a specialty or a region where they want to work," AMA Queensland Vice President Dr Nick Yim said.

"We had speakers from the aviation industry and aeromedicine, forensic pathology, psychiatry, emergency medicine and general practice.

"We had representatives from Hospital and Health Services from around the state, including Metro North and Metro South, Wide Bay, Townsville, Cairns Hinterland, Darling Downs, Gold Coast, Central Queensland and Mater."

AMA Queensland's corporate partners were there to give legal and financial advice, and Doctors' Health in Queensland hosted a Wellness Panel.
