Queensland Health doctors to receive first of two pay rises
ASMOFQ has ensured that Queensland Health-employed doctors will receive two wage increases in the next six months.
From 1 July 2021, doctors will obtain a 2.5 per cent pay increase. This is a delayed pay rise that was negotiated and agreed by all parties but postponed by the Queensland Government during the COVID-19 outbreak.
ASMOFQ maintained pressure on the Queensland Government to deliver this wage increase as promised.
An additional wage increase of 2.5 per cent will also occur from 1 January 2022 as a part of a new deal secured by ASMOFQ.
Health care heroes have kept our community safe during COVID-19 and need to be fairly remunerated for the vital role they play in protecting Queenslanders.
Due to the negotiating and bargaining power of ASMOFQ, Queensland public hospital doctors currently have entitlements and conditions which are among the best in Australia.
We encourage all doctors who may not be members to join or renew as soon as possible should assistance be required to navigate the wage increase process.
