Here are some of their initiatives:

  • Across the Crystalbrook Collection Group, since 2018, they have saved over 4.4 million plastic amenity bottles and over 1.6 million plastic water bottles from going into landfill
  • No plastic water bottles - instead offering reusable glass bottles in our rooms with refill stations available
  • 100 per cent waste free bathrooms - all our bathroom amenities are biodegradable or recyclable
  • Using technology (such as in-room iPads) removed 90 per cent of the paper typically found in a five-star hotel room - including 100 per cent recycled wood discs instead of traditional plastic guest room cards
  • We run paperless offices and paperless check-in and check-out, if a paper is required, we use certified recycled paper
  • Crystalbrook Collection has begun labelling menu items with Climate Calorie info, to enable delegates to enjoy their meal, comfortable that they are mitigating their environmental impact.
  • Partnered with Earthcheck - The world's leading scientific benchmarking, certification and advisory group - to cut down greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiencies, reduce waste and enhance ecosystem conservation
  • Partnered with TeraCycle to provide a zero-waste approach to coffee capsules
