Ethical Guidelines for Doctors on Disclosing Medical Records to Third Parties - 2010. Revised 2015.

This document serves to guide doctors when deciding on whether or not to disclose a patient's medical record to a third party. The Guidelines cover issues related to patient consent to disclosure including patients who are minors and patients with impaired decision-making capacity. The Guidelines also address where disclosure of patient records to third parties is authorised or required by law, regardless of patient consent.
