AMA President Dr Steve Hambleton launched the AMA's Public Hospital Report Card 2014. The report provides a consistent analysis of public hospital activity over time. Dr Hambleton says 68 per cent of urgent patients are being seen within 30 minutes at emergency departments. He suggests investing in primary care while still making sure hospitals are looked after.
