Eight popular anti-inflammatory drugs will now carry warning labels saying that taking them could increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. AMA Vice President Dr Stephen Parnis said these medications can be of benefit to people, but they also carry significant risks if they are used in the wrong way or for the wrong patient.
