Latest payroll tax update
AMA Queensland members are again reminded that time is running out to register for the Queensland Revenue Office’s general practice payroll tax amnesty.
Expressions of interest close next Friday 10 November 2023 and AMA Queensland is urging all practices to seriously consider lodging an EOI before then.
‘The benefit to practices eligible for the amnesty is eliminating the risk of retrospective liability, interest and penalties,’ said AMA Queensland President Dr Maria Boulton.
‘It also buys practices much-needed time to implement the necessary banking changes set out in the Queensland Revenue Office’s latest public ruling.’
AMA Queensland held a payroll tax webinar on 24 October to provide members with information about the amnesty and updated payroll tax public ruling for medical centres and answer practices’ questions.
