Former Prime Minister Julia Gillard to talk about leadership at AMA National Conference

The AMA is pleased to announce that former Prime Minister, the Hon Julia Gillard, will be special guest at the AMA National Conference in Brisbane later this month.

In one of her first business speaking engagements in Australia for 2015, Ms Gillard – now a Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Universal Education with the prestigious US-based global think tank, The Brookings Institution – will address medical students and doctors in training at the AMA Conference’s Leadership Development Dinner. Ms Gillard’s participation in the AMA Conference is in support of her work at Brookings.

There will be a media PICFAC prior to Ms Gillard’s presentation. No questions from media, just vision and actuality of Ms Gillard with AMA office holders and sponsor representatives. More details closer to the event. Ms Gillard’s presentation will be closed to the media to allow an open exchange of ideas, experiences, and leadership advice between Ms Gillard and the audience of future medical leaders.

Medical students and doctors in training can purchase tickets to the Dinner here: https://ama.com.au/nationalconference/ldd
