AMA President, Professor Brian Owler, will be available to comment on today’s meeting of medical leaders to discuss the Government’s Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) reviews, and the recent behaviour of Medibank Private in its negotiations with hospitals.

The AMA today hosted more than 60 leaders of all medical specialities in Canberra to discuss the medical profession’s united approach to the MBS reviews.

Medibank Private has today taken out full page ads in newspapers around the country regarding the recent breakdown of negotiations between the insurer and Calvary hospitals.
