Workplace Relations

Mentally healthy workplace sessions

The Workplace Relations Team has developed a program to assist you with strategies to create a Mentally Healthy Workplace.

Last month we wrote about the best practice approach to underperformance while considering mental health contributors.

Since then, the Workplace Relations Team has developed a program to assist you to create a Mentally Healthy Workplace.
Employees can spend up to half their day in the workplace, so it is important to have a healthy work environment. Healthy workplaces can;

  • Increase employee productivity
  • Create greater job satisfaction
  • Reduce staff turnover
  • Attract talented employees
  • Lessen staff absenteeism and lost working days

The program is delivered online by the team and covers the following;

  • What is a mentally healthy workplace?
  • The legislation we must refer to
  • Psychological Health and safety
  • Psychosocial hazards
  • Available resources
  • Q and A session
