Priority COVID testing information

There are a number of Queensland pathology providers who perform priority COVID testing for doctors and health care workers.

We are grateful to these companies for providing valuable services to keep doctors, health care staff, workplaces and our community safe.

4Cyte Pathology

Walk-in COVID testing

4Cyte Pathology have a dedicated walk-in COVID testing site for doctors, their staff and families. This includes private practice GPs and non-GP specialists.
Location: Shop 1, 40 Gladstone Road, Highgate Hill
Open: 7am - 3pm, Monday to Friday

Self-collected samples

They can also run self-collected swabs as long as they are swabs with a transport medium.

All self-collected swabs must have a request form that clearly states it is for a priority one/health care worker, so they are identified as a priority when they arrive at the lab.

Each kit has printed instructions; coded request forms; swab and media all in a specimen bag. You can also refer to this instructional video for more information.

The dedicated self-collect coded request forms must be used for all collections and will require a nominated doctor from your clinic as the referring doctor.

You can leave collected samples at any SNP collection centre, or deposit samples in the red mailbox in the visitor car park at their central laboratory, 24 Hurworth Street, Bowen Hills.

Email marketing@SNP.com.au to order additional kits.
