Mask resources

The declared public health emergency for COVID-19 for the State of Queensland expires as of midnight on 31 October 2022.

The Queensland Government notified us in writing today it’s transitioning away from treating COVID-19 as an emergency to managing it in the same way it manages other notifiable conditions.

When community transmission is low, the Queensland Government recommends people wear a mask if required by their healthcare provider.

As part of the Queensland GP Alliance, we have created a suite of resources for you to help educate and advise patients of mask-wearing requirements now that mask-wearing is no longer mandated.

These assets will support you in asking patients to wear a mask in your practice.

•    POSTER advising patients of the need for flexibility and types of measures practices may employ.
•    FLYER to advise of specific measures you are employing.
•    DETAILED NOTICE for practices to post on reception or online, or to use as a basis for advice to patients. (You can insert your practice name at the top of this PDF.)
•    STATIC - notice for practices to post on reception or online, or to use as a basis for advice to patients. (A copy of the above option that is not fillable).
