Volunteers needed for Altru Charity Festival
Altru Festival (previously known as Skid Row Carnival of Love in LA) is a tailor-made event for disadvantaged individuals.
The Altru Charity Festival event provides mentoring, haircuts, mental, physical, and dental healthcare services, clothing, job skills and opportunities, combined with fun and games, live music, plenty of good food and connection.
The festival is fast approaching on 11 November and they are looking for volunteers to fill the
health service tent.
The festival team need medical professionals to do wound care, mental health conversation, BP checks
and basic care. The volunteer role is to be there to support the guest, listen and give general guidance and perhaps advice about where they can receive assistance and to educate the guest about resources
that are available to help them.
