Ningi Doctors is looking for a full-time, vocationally registered GP. The position is a vacated District Workforce Shortage (DWS) position. 

Ningi Doctors is a GP-owned practice with mixed billing; commutable to Brisbane and Sunshine Coast and offers a great team environment.

The team includes:

  • 2 Ex-SAS doctors
  • past RACGP Vice-President/RACGP Queensland Chair
  • RACGP Queensland GP of the Year 2022
  • past Surgeon-General of the Australian Defence Force
  • 2 RACGP Examiners
  • AMA Queensland Board Chair
  • Moretons Most Loved Doctor 2015 - Courier Mail 
  • doctors with a special interest in GP education, medical indemnity, skin surgery, procedural work and women's health
  • practice partners who trained in the UK, Netherlands, Vietnam and Australia

Don’t be daunted, this is a seriously fun, supportive team. We also have registrars and a few recently fellowed doctors. We like BBQs, a little red wine, and have children, cats and dogs. We write children's story books, watch and play sports. At Ningi Doctors we have a team that has come together to look after a community with high health needs and we love it.

Ningi Doctors Profile - 2023
Ningi has a diverse growing population. It is commutable to Brisbane and Sunshine Coast and while a number of people have come to the area to retire, many young families are now arriving. Ningi itself has some impressive real estate and only minutes away are beach side communities and Bribie Island.

Ningi Doctors is a busy 8FTE practice situated between Caboolture and Bribie Island. It is GP owned and has an experienced management team. It is a place that will allow you to practice medicine in a truly supportive environment. 

Close proximity to Bribie Island, Morayfield and Caboolture, and having a team with a great reputation means a wide variety of patients attend the practice. 

The practice offers a wide range of services and a considerable number of procedures are conducted daily. The practice has an ear microscope and suction, and doctors experienced in skin cancer surgery.

The practice itself is a relatively new, modern style, purpose built facility. It is fully computerised with 10 consult rooms, 4-bed treatment room, 2 procedure rooms and a pharmacy.

We have a great team that works together including experienced front desk and nursing staff. In house allied support includes a pharmacy, podiatry and psychology: again communication is excellent and they are important team members. QML Pathology has a collection centre in the building. 

Education sessions are run twice a week for doctors and present an opportunity to get to know each other better. Experienced doctors are always available for advice.
Opening hours:

  • Mon – Fri 7 am to 9 pm
  • Weekends 8 am to 1 pm

After-hours coverage is rostered between all doctors. All doctors are expected to do some after-hours work so that it is not onerous.
