ICRC Ethical Principles of Health Care in Times of Armed Conflict and Other Emergencies

In August 2017, the AMA endorsed the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Ethical Principles of Health Care in Times of Armed Conflict and Other Emergencies. The AMA supports the work of the ICRC in relation to its Health Care in Danger Project and its ongoing commitment in times of armed conflict to promoting the rights and responsibilities of health care workers and others, advocating for the protection of health care workers, respecting medical neutrality and adhering to the principles of medical ethics.
