Patient enrolment – the Australian & International experience
A new article in the Medical Journal of Australia explores the Australian and international experience with general practice enrolment and suggest ways for Australia to introduce a system that benefits patients, health system funders and providers of comprehensive general practice care.

The AMA supports voluntary patient enrolment/nomination, and this is a key feature of the AMA 10-Year Framework for Primary Care Reform. The AMA has been working with the Department of Health on the implementation of voluntary patient enrolment since the allocation of $448 million in the 2019-2020 Federal Budget.
