AMA hosts successful Single Employer Model for GPs in Training Planning Day
The AMA's GPs in Training Advisory Committee (GTAC), a sub-committee of the AMA Council of Doctors in Training (CDT), successfully hosted a Single Employer Model for GPs in Training Planning Day on 6 December 2020.
Thirty representatives from different GP training stakeholders attended to discuss how the profession can improve employment conditions for GPs in Training while supporting supervisors and practices to provide excellent training. The outcomes of the discussion will inform the AMA’s submission to the Department of Health on its preferred model for employment for GPs in Training and future AMA advocacy.
The planning day was well received by all stakeholders.
