Practice Industrial Awards
The AMA has made a successful submission to the full bench of the Fair Work Commission (FWC) to avoid the potential for doctors employed to general practice settings from being, for the first time, drawn into the federal coverage of the Health Professional Support Services (HPSS) Award.
The HPSS Award is one of over 140 federal awards that are a part of the ongoing Modern Award Review. The two main awards that apply to staff employed in general practice are the HPSS Award and the Nurses Award.
