Veterans' Mates: Chronic musculoskeletal pain

The AMA advises GPs that the Department of Veterans' Affairs and the Veterans' MATES project team have recently released the thirty-eighth module for the Veterans' MATES project, titled Chronic musculoskeletal pain: Changing the way we think about pain.

Copies of the therapeutic brief and veteran brochure, along with other topic-related materials were mailed in mid-March to approximately 5,100 GPs who treat the selected veterans identified in the RPBS dispensing data. In April the veteran brochure Chronic musculoskeletal pain: Helping to solve the pain puzzle, will be mailed to veteran patients aged 65 years or younger who are likely to have had musculoskeletal pain in the twelve months to 30 November 2013.
