Public consultation process on products subsidised under the NDSS
AMA members may wish to participate in the public consultation process commencing next week in relation to products subsidised under the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS).
The NDSS provides subsidised syringes and needles, blood glucose test strips, urine test strips, insulin pump consumables and continuous glucose monitoring products to people with diabetes.
To ensure the scheme continues to meet the needs of people registered with the NDSS, the Department is seeking input on additional types of products that could be considered for subsidisation under the scheme to support people to self-manage their condition.
This consultation process will be conducted through an online survey which will be open until 25 August 2019. The online survey is available here.
