Productive talks held by AMA Council of General Practice

The AMA Council of General Practice met last weekend and discussed the AMA’s position on a number of significant GP issues including:

• The role of general practice in primary health care;
• The Government’s primary care review;
• The role of pharmacists in primary care;
• After hours care;
• Supporting international medical graduates; and
• Opportunities for private health insurance involvement in primary care.
