New Medicine Status Website now live

AMA members may be interested in the launch of the new Medicine Status Website that enables the Australian public to search for and monitor the status of medicines as they progress through the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) listing process.

It also explains to consumers how they can contribute to PBAC decision making and the steps that must be completed to list a medicine on the PBS.

Information on applications considered by the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) from July 2019 onwards can be accessed. It does not include information on the listing processes for vaccines or generic medicines.

The Medicine Status Website was developed in collaboration with consumer and industry representatives, and Medicines Australia.
