MJA: Microbes as friend and foe

The 16 March edition of Medical Journal of Australia focuses on our uneasy relationship with microbes, featuring articles on: the global challenges of infectious diseases; the challenge of multidrug resistant gram-negative bacilli in Australia; managing children’s respiratory tract infections in general practice; and global inequity in kidney care.

Other articles of interest include a report of the first case of transfusion-transmitted Ross River virus infection, several articles on HIV testing and treatment, and a discussion about implementing telehealth as a core business, particularly for the rural sector.
