GPs wanted for Cambodian Children’s Trust Advisory Panel

The Cambodian Children’s Trust (CCT), a Non-Government Organisation working to support families and children in Battambang, recently contacted the AMA seeking new members for its expanded Medical Advisory Panel. Procedural GPs with some emergency, O&G, and anaesthetics would be ideally suited for this role.

Expansion of the organisation’s family support base has placed increased demands on the Trust, including in the facilitation of access to the limited medical services available in Cambodia. While those facilities are improving, there are occasions when the CCT needs to obtain a trusted opinion from its Medical Advisory Panel on treatment or medical management options recommended by local Cambodian hospital/medical staff.

Panel members liaise with CCT's well-trained nurse manager by phone/email/Skype when needed. That need is infrequent. There are opportunities to conduct clinics for CCT if or when Panel members visit Battambang, but that is entirely optional.

Dr Michael Gliksman has been a proud member of the Medical Advisory Panel for many years and personally attests to the integrity and effectiveness of the Trust in bettering many lives in Cambodia. If you would like to find out more about contributing to the Panel, he can be contacted via email at drgliksman42@gmail.com, or on 0412967189.

The CCT was founded and is directed by Tara Winkler, past NSW Young Australian of the Year. Visit the CCT website to learn more about this organisation.
