Fast Facts: Australian Government spending on general practice
The recently released Productivity Commission report on Government Services 2014: Volume E reports that the Australian Government spent $7.4 billion on general practice. Fee for service (FFS) expenditure accounted for $6.8 billion. PIP, GPII and Medicare Locals accounted for $0.6 billion.
