Continence products available through the DVA Rehabilitation Appliances Program

For the information of GPs with veteran patients, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) has entered into contract arrangements for national supply of continence products with three suppliers. The DVA funds the provision of these products through its Rehabilitation Appliances Program (RAP).

Product catalogues and samples are available from each of these three suppliers, and can be ordered by contacting BrightSky Australia (1300 968 062), Independence Australia (1300 788 855), and Intouch (1800 382 727).

The choice of supplier to order from is up to the prescriber and client. If a client is already receiving products under current arrangements they may continue to do so, provided they have a valid prescription. There are no changes to the current entitlements of the eligible person.

For further information regarding provision of continence products, or other items under RAP, GPs can call the DVA Provider Hotline (select option 1 when prompted) on 1300 550 457, or regional callers can call 1800 550 457.
