Call for Professional Services Review Panel Members

The Professional Services Review (PSR) is currently calling for part-time Panel members who are GPs in Queensland, Victoria, or Western Australia. The PSR is seeking Panel members to take part in the peer review process established under the Health Insurance Act 1973. 

According to the PSR, it is currently disproportionately composed of male GPs and the call is particularly targeted at women GPs. Eligibility for the role requires:

  • Australian citizenship;
  • Currently practising (including on a part time basis);
  • Sufficient experience in and knowledge of current medical practice;
  • Availability to attend hearings and attend relevant legal training;
  • Willingness to sign a declaration of interest and enter a deed of confidentiality.
