AMA representatives at My Aged Care Workshop
AMA representatives, including the Vice President, Dr Tony Bartone, Chair of Council of General Practice (CGP), Dr Richard Kidd, and CGP member Dr Chris Moy, this week attended a Department of Health workshop on My Aged Care Referrals and Health Integration.
The workshop discussed a range of topics, including consent models, change management, and referral to My Aged Care by a Healthcare Professional. The AMA has continually advocated on the importance of including medical practitioners as part of the aged care workforce. The AMA is currently reviewing its aged care position statements and policy direction, and recently requested responses from AMA members to a survey on the topic to help inform these revisions.
