AMACDT approach to COVID-19
Over the past 2 weeks, our Chair Dr Hash Abdeen has been attending special COVID-19 meetings with the World Medical Association Junior Doctor Network (WMA JDN) where he presented to the world’s junior doctors about what’s happening in Australia and the AMACDT approach to COVID-19.
The group discussed the issues facing doctors in training around the world and how other National Medical Associations are dealing with these. It has been humbling to see the junior doctor efforts from across the globe to support each other and our patients.
The meetings have also highlighted the great privilege we have here now with the situation in Australia. The AMACDT continues to liaise with the WMA-JDN to represent Australia’s doctors in training, but also offer support to those countries in need and stand in solidarity.
