Focus for 2018: Pushing for more flexible MRBS and BMP arrangements

The AMA Council of Doctors in Training (AMACDT) is leading the way in calling for more flexible Medical Rural Bonded Scholarship (MRBS) and Bonded Medical Places (BMP) Scheme arrangements that support participants in meeting their obligations and is currently in discussions with the Department of Health over potential reforms that would make these arrangements much fairer for scholarship holders and more effective for rural communities.

The AMA is pushing strongly for these reforms to be finalised by May this year, with this issue a key part of the AMA 2018-19 Federal Pre-Budget submission
