Round two now open: Rural Junior Doctor Training Innovation Fund
The second round of the Federal Government’s Rural Junior Doctor Training Innovation Fund (RJDTIF) closes soon but is still open for application until 2pm AEDT on 14 December 2017.
Intern rotations must be completed in primary care settings in Australian Statistical Geography Standard - Remoteness Areas (ASGS-RA) 2 to 5 locations. This second round of funding aims to fund at least 36 FTE positions (around 160 rotations) into primary care settings to meet the target of 60 FTE positions for the program as a whole.
The RJDTIF is designed to assist in exposing interns to rural practice, a strategy which makes it more likely that they will continue to practice in rural locations after they finish their training.
Applications must be received by 2pm AEDT on 14 December 2017.
