AMA Submission on Revised Registration Standard for Endorsement for Acupuncture for Registered Medical Practitioners
AMA supports the Revised Registration Standard for Endorsement for Acupuncture for Registered Medical Practitioners. The AMA is concerned that practitioners who are currently endorsed for acupuncture by virtue of the grandfathering provisions will not be able to retain that endorsement.
The AMA is supportive of the revised standard and the clarity it provides for medical practitioners seeking endorsement for acupuncture. The AMA in its response seeks to ensure that the revised standard does not created unintended consequences for medical practitioners who meet the educational and continuing professional development requirements for endorsement for acupuncture.
