The AMA does not support the Board's proposal to expand endorsement for scheduled medicines to all nurses and midwives because it does not provide sufficient evidence or justification for the expansion and appears to propose that nurses and midwives be effectively endorsed to diagnose and prescribe in high risk situations without reference to a medical practitioners.
