AMA Submission to mid-term review of the National Health Reform Agreement Addendum 2020-25

The AMA submission to the mid-term review of the of the National Health Reform Agreement Addendum 2020-25 finds the agreement is largely failing to meet its stated objectives. The result is a decline in performance of our public hospitals and our health system. The submission outlines specific measures that should be undertaken by the Commonwealth and State and Territory Governments to tackle the public hospital logjam.

The independent review is required in the Agreement and must be completed by December 2023. The objective is to assess if the Addendum is meeting its stated objectives.
