AMA submission to the Department of Health and Aged Care on Prescribed List Consultation Paper No. 9

The AMA argues that the appropriate first step in efforts to rationalise funding for post-peri implantation technical support services for implanted cardiac implantable electronic devices is to establish a national registry, to collect more data to inform funding policy. The cost of these services must not be shifted from private health insurers to patients.
