AMA response to proposed changes to the RACGP Standards for general practices (5th edition) - COVID-19/IPC
The AMA has made a submission in response to proposed changes to the RACGP Standards for general practices (5th edition) in relation to infection prevention and control.
The submission supports the revisions, which are reasonable and should support practices preparation and processes for operating in an emergency or crisis situation including in a pandemic or infectious disease outbreak.
The AMA also proposed a number of modifications to improve clarity of purpose and to ensure practices have appropriate and clear guidance with regard to their obligations to staff and patients.
