Crazy socks a powerful message for doctors' mental health

The annual CrazySocks4Docs event took place last week with doctors across Australia joining the vital cause.

More than 270 people attended last Friday's CrazySocks4Docs hybrid breakfast in Adelaide. The annual event of the charity founded by Dr Geoff Toogood aims to raise awareness and reduce stigma around mental health in doctors and health professionals. Special guest speakers included Federal Health Minister Mark Butler and Dr Ben Bravery, author of "The Patient Doctor”. Funds raised for CrazySocks4Docs will be used to fund ongoing development and expansion of programs.

Many more doctors and organisations showed off their socks in support and recognition that the health and wellbeing of doctors is important.
