Doctors for the Environment say while Tuesday’s briefing and submission session is NSW-centric other states may follow.
All doctors are invited to a webinar working bee from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, Monday 31 October to respond to the NSW Environment Protection Authority’s draft climate change policy and action plan.
The EPA is seeking input into the policy and plan and the webinar will include briefings from the Environmental Defenders Office and Doctors for the Environment Australia.
After the briefings participants will break into small groups and individual submissions will be written.
DEA says while this is about NSW other states may follow, so it is of national importance.
You can register here. If you can’t make it to the webinar you can provide input directly to the EPA via email or a short survey by 3 November 2022, 5pm AEDT. If you do this, please send an email to DEA Executive Director Denise Cauchi at denise.cauchi@dea.org.au.
More information about how to get involved, and DEA’s five main asks of the EPA are here.
