International medical leaders including the Director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr Anthony Fauci, and the President of the World Medical Association, Dr Heidi Stensmyren, will join the AMA’s National Conference this year taking part in a plenary session on: Global medicine, post pandemic. The session will be held on the first day of the conference on Friday 29 July and is not to be missed.
The 2022 National Conference is being held in person and online and is open to both AMA members and non-members. It will be held from Friday 29 July to Sunday 31 July at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney. Registrations will remain open until Sunday 31 July and there are CPD points for participation, as well as the opportunity to be part of Australia’s foremost medical conference.
The 2022 National Conference title and theme is ‘After COVID: Creating a New Future for Australia’s Health System Post Pandemic’. As well as hearing from Dr Fauci and Dr Stensmyren medical leaders from around the country will be in attendance including AMA President Dr Omar Khorshid; Chair of the Medical Board of Australia Dr Anne Tonkin; President of the Australian Medical Council Professor Kate Leslie; Council of Presidents of Medical Colleges Dr Vijay Roach; Commonwealth Chief Medical Officer Professor Paul Kelly and the Secretary of the Department of Health Professor Brendan Murphy.
