We want to extend a HUGE welcome to AMA members attending AMA24 today!
After almost a year of behind-the-scenes planning, AMA24 will kick off today on the Gold Coast. From our announcement last December through to today we’ve been gearing up to give you the best possible conference program and social events to get you inspired!
Make sure you are registered before 9am for the opening addresses, with a Welcome to Country, opening address from conference host Dr Hash Abdeen, an address from federal Minister for Health and Aged Care Mark Butler MP — all before a keynote address from Olympian Dr Jana Pittman.
AMA President Professor Steve Robson will launch our updated Vision for Australia’s Health 2024–2027 at the end of the day, followed by the President’s Welcome Cocktail Reception — the perfect opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and mingle with some of the best minds in Australia’s health.
On Saturday we’re presenting a full day of exciting sessions beginning at 7am with breakfast workshops until it’s time to leave the exhibition hall and soak in the Gold Coast sunset.
Then get ready to put on your finest for our Gala Dinner and awards which kicks off at 6:30pm.
